Today we read about the Lord's Prayer and how to pray for God's kingdom to come.

Jesus said, “This is how you should pray: 'Father, may your name be kept holy. May your Kingdom come soon.'" Luke 11:2 NLT

Our study of Job has come to an end and it's time to move on to the next thing. This week Steve and I are discussing the new thing, both procedurally and theologically.

This week we are at the end of Job in chapter 42. This is a short chapter but there is a lot going on, including a few twists we might not be ready for.

Jesus explains the parable of the farmer scattering seed on different soils

Does our life reflect King Jesus and his kingdom, or does our reflection look like the rest of the world?

In Job 40, Job puts his hands over his mouth to keep himself from saying anything to dig himself a deeper hole than he is already in. God then lists a few qualifications that Job would need to display in order to take over for Him.

This week we are jumping ahead to chapter 38. It is now God's turn to talk and Job's turn to listen, but God might be talking to you too.

From Luke 3, Isaiah 40, and Psalm 2, we see the coming of King Jesus fortold, how people responded to him as King then, and what is necessary for us to prepare the way for Him.
