Matthew 3:1-4:11

Continuing in the Cradle to the Cross Series from the Gospel of Matthew, we learn lessons in submission to God's rule from the baptism and temptation of Jesus in the wilderness.

We are beginning a series looking at the life of Christ as presented in the gospel of Matthew. This first week shows us how God was faithful to fulfill what he said would do in sending the Messiah.

"This is a record of the ancestors of Jesus the Messiah, a descendant of David and of Abraham." Matthew 1:1 NLT

"...all the believers except the apostles were scattered through the regions of Judea and Samaria." Acts 8:1b NLT

God's methods provide the greatest opportunity for spreading the gospel, and He will equip us as we are faithful in making the gospel a priority.

The Gospel is God's priority for the times in which we live.

1 Timothy 2:1-4

Thanks to Ed Hert for sharing how God moved Gideon and the Israelites through their fears. The Lord's name received the honor for the success that only He could make possible. From Judges 6-8
